The Opportunity

The chance to join a B2B Cloud scale-up company  that has achieved huge success in under 8-years, boasting a team of around 1,600-employees in 15 offices worldwide and over $450 million in funding. 

The company has a disruptive, next-generation “Cloud-based Security solution” for large firms who own or lease Commercial Real-Estate.

With a European team of 100 and a growing presence across the continent, including the UK, France, Nordics, and The Netherlands, the firm is now looking to start-up in the DACH region where they have already closed several deals with German-owned customers.

European revenues are growing, doubling every year, and as part of the next stage, the company is looking to hire an entrepreneurial and results-driven German Country Manager to lead expansion into DACH.

If you’re a Senior Sales Leader with a start-up spirit, ready to create and execute strategies, build a high-impact team, and disrupt the DACH market, then this could be the role for you.

The Role:

As the German Country Manager, you’ll be responsible for establishing and executing the strategy in the DACH region. This hands-on role is perfect for a sales leader who is ready to set the strategy, hire a small team, and drive sales in a start-up environment. The company has a 100% channel-focused sales approach whilst still directly engaging with key accounts.

Your target is around €1m in the first year and approximately €6m in the second. Deal sizes will range from €10,000 to €1m+, and your focus will be on managing multiple deals simultaneously.  There is a major land and expand component. 

  • Report into EMEA Sales Director
  • New logo sales of the company’s B2B Cloud solutions
  • Direct sales into target accounts
  • Scale the business in DACH
  • Create a network of Channel Partners (resellers, VARs)
  • Manage & convert leads from SDR 
  • Focus on Retail, Hospitality, Logistics, and Transportation firms who own Commercial Real Estate Buildings
  • Hire team in Germany / DACH
  • Manage sales cycles 3 months +
  • Report progress to EMEA Sales Director
  • Maintain direct contact with end user prospects / clients

Experience:

  • B2B SaaS background
  • Player-Manager type profile
  • Fluency in German / located in Germany 
  • Ideally suited to start-up and scale-up roles
  • Strong sales domain, ideally with some US tech firms
  • Stable track-record
  • Must be extremely HANDS-ON
  • Direct AND Channel sales experience
  • Able to manage multiple deals at once
  • Worked for successful tech names
  • Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Storage, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Video, SaaS, Network Management  tech experience beneficial
  • Vertical market experience: Transportation, Logistics, Retail, and Hospitality
  • Salary level will depend on level of candidate, STOCK OPTIONS
