Director – EMEA Sales – Business Analytics – UK or Germany

Intrinsic Executive Search is retained by one of it’s long term clients to hire a European Head of Sales located in either Germany or the UK to grow a current team of 3 Sales Executives in Europe plus dotted line responsibility for inside sales and pre sales. This is a career opportunity for Player Managers or Sales Leaders that are looking for their next stage of career development as this is a fast growth and acquisitive business and it is anticipated that this Head of Sales will be promoted to VP level.

The company has a huge global client base and offers a broad range of solutions used for advanced business analytics and data visualization. They are further backed by a huge investment injection that is being used to drive global expansion.

This role is going to focus on sales execution and new business development with direct line management of the sales team plus matrix & thought leadership over other functions of the business.  A highly visible role, with hiring responsibility across Europe, this opportunity will provide an exceptional opportunity to elevate your sales leadership career in a highly successful and rapidly scaling software company

The Role

  • As sales leader, drive sales of Business Analytics software within end user clients, both direct end user sales and OEM agreements
  • Attract, hire, develop and coach a team of high achieving Sales Executives in Europe
  • Metrics driven Sales leadership role that will focus on driving cadence and sales performance
  • Be the sales figurehead for the business in Europe
  • Total responsibility for sales quota, planning and strategies to achieve targets
  • Set targets and deliverables for the sales team in line with corporate goals and objectives
  • Work in close partnership with Marketing, Business Development, Pre Sales and other business functions to drive revenue
  • Accurate forecasting is critical
  • Support sales executives, deal with escalations and support the sales team to ensure all team members achieve target
  • Use of Salesforce.com to manage pipeline and forecasting
  • Regular team planning, coaching and mentoring to coach and drive career development within the team
  • Manage the hiring process to ensure that exceptional talent is attracted, retained and developed

The Person

  • Will have experience of leading Sales executives perhaps as a player manager or as direct line manager
  • Still hands on in sales as a sales leader but seeking to develop their sales career further
  • Exceptional presentation skills with corporate business presence
  • Strong capability in building and driving a modern SaaS sales and marketing machine
  • Deep experience in leading international software engagements
  • A natural mentor and leader that truly wants to develop and support their team to be the best that they can be
  • Able to excel in a fast moving and rapidly evolving business environment
  • Ideally with some exposure to OEM agreements although this is not mandatory
