The Opportunity

An incredible opportunity for a Sales or Business Development Executive to work with a leading global acquirer of software companies. 

This award winning and internationally recognised company offers an alternative to the “traditional” Private Equity exit for software Founders and Entrepreneurs. Experiencing quite the most remarkable growth and in the scaling stages of rapid European expansion, this role offers that rare opportunity to join a company at a pivotal time.

We are seeking to hire commercial sales / deal origination executives to take a lead role in the identification, sourcing and progression of software company acquisitions. Very much a full funnel sales opportunity, the role will focus on building deep relationships with software business owners and driving engagement with them that ultimately leads to SaaS companies being acquired.

Ideal experience will include working within Private Equity in deal origination, sales or business development having gained experience in the PE acquisitions of SaaS companies.  FinTech and SaaS Business Development Sales Executives that have had exposure to the PE space may also have relevant experience as would those that have sold software or other services to PE firms. Experience in M&A is also going to be useful so long as the candidate has a strong Sales and Business Development background.

The Role

  • Develop deep, long term, trusted and strategic relationships with SaaS company Founders, CEOs and Entrepreneurs
  • Identify potential prospect companies and engage at senior level
  • Full funnel sales engagement and nurturing programs
  • Work across other departments and work with other colleagues to deliver positive business outcomes
  • Work extensively with Sales & Marketing tech stacks
  • Ultimately working to facilitate the acquisition of high potential SaaS firms
  • Be and instrumental part of the team that establishes the company in the Benelux region

The Person

  • Either working in PE or the Investment sector in a deal origination role or in SaaS, FinTech, Business Services sales role that had engagement with Private Equity
  • An E/Intreprenurial mindset that matches the SaaS environment in which they will be immersed
  • Experience in M&A, Investing,  Finance or an Investment Banking background would be helpful or a solid background in SaaS with a keen desire to work in SaaS M&A
  • Passionate and curious about the SaaS business generally
  • Comfortable in a metrics driven environment that leverages data to drive outcomes
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation capabilities and able to engage with multiple stakeholders  
  • Remains excited about driving sales processes
  • Excellent personal presentation
