The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join a European-headquartered FinTech SaaS company going through a scale-up phase.

The company employs around 100 people, comprising of many different nationalities.   The team often work remotely, and are mainly scattered across the UK, Nordics, Germany, and France.  The company has been trading for under 10 years, has raised millions of euros from significant investors and already closed a number of prestigious B2B deals with leading Retail Banks across Europe.

The platform is very much science-led, based on vast amounts of scientific-research from World-leading Academics and Universities (psychology, neuroscience and behavioural economics) and creates real business impact for Banks and their consumer customers.

The solution has been created with leading scientists to deliver compelling new ways to boost your customers’ digital engagement and financial wellbeing.  With millions of people suffering from stress and uncertainty due to the Cost of Living crisis, the demand for such a platform is higher than ever.

The Role

  • Reports into the CEO, become a key member of the Executive Team
  • Remote role, ideally based in Europe
  • Lead the Science Department
  • Establish scientific research priorities, resourcing and outcomes to achieve the company’s strategic goals and objectives
  • Translate scientific insights into the product and business impact
  • Oversee the overall operation and integration of scientific cores, that entails involvement in product development, commercial, branding and communication.
  • Lead interactions with external academic researchers, engage external research environments and establish collaborations consistent with internal strategies.
  • Create the storytelling in the market
  • Explain the scientific methods behind the product
  • Become a thought leader in the space of behavioural banking and financial wellbeing
  • Act as a Spokesperson holding keynotes at industry events and representing the firm in the media
  • Work with marketing on a messaging strategy incorporating behavioural science as a key differentiator
  • Work with marketing on creating high-quality webinar and white paper content reflecting behavioural science expertise
  • Support the sales team by running sessions and workshops around the scientific topics with prospects
  • Take part in sales conversations with banks and conduct keynotes speaks at events

The Person

 

  • Masters or PhD in psychology, behavioural or cognitive sciences, behavioural finance or similar
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • A natural storyteller and able to simplify complex concepts
  • Highly pro-active, able to create a vision and execute it
  • Ideally strong B2B experience
  • Experience of applying Science to a SaaS product highly beneficial
  • Must be comfortable with being a highly visible and collaborative member of the team
  • Business Fluency in English
  • Broad experience working within retail banking, finance, tech, SaaS
  • Able to collaborate with Academics and Scientists
