Benelux Head of Sales

Company Description and Overview

We are retained by an established venture backed B2B Data Management, Technology and Services business with globally respected pedigree. With an enviable client list of global brands and SMB’s as clients including over 2000 clients in the Benelux alone, the company is looking to hire a Sales Leader to drive the entire sales and marketing machine.

The head of Sales in Benelux will be responsible for New Business Sales, Account Management, Pre Sales and Marketing across the region. They will lead a team of 6 managers with an extended sales team in the region of 50 people with a remit to grow the team further.

This is a career defining sales leadership role with high visibility both internally and externally in a respected company with global reach. Candidates will be able to demonstrate how they have built and led multi disciplinary sales teams in a software or data related business. They will have prior exposure of building a modern and sustainable sales machine where accountability, target achievement and cadence are at the heart of that success. 

The role

  • Become the sales figurehead for the Benelux region driving collaboration and sales excellence across the Benelux and wider international business
  • Full responsibility for the Benelux sales target reporting to the Managing Director
  • Drive a multi faceted and hybrid approach that has a focus on Enterprise sales as well as SMB engagement so a combination of strategic selling VsV tactical sales
  • Understand and potentially reshape Go To Market strategies for various product sets
  • Ability to lead, inspire and coach others to succeed and be the best that they can be
  • Experience of designing and enhancing innovative sales & compensation plans that have been proven to drive sales performance
  • Ensure that GTM sales methodologies, sales playbooks and strategies are in place, updated and used to help drive sales excellence
  • Quickly develop a strong understanding of all the products and services within the business

The Person

  • Experience in either SaaS, Subscription, Data Management, Business Services or Technology sales leadership
  • Proven experience in land and expand sales methodologies
  • Experience in the use of is preferred
  • A modern sales leader with a solid overview of sales and marketing related technologies and initiatives
  • Proven experience in first and second line management
  • Can show evidence of building and developing a sales team and business previously 
  • Successful in successful hiring of sales and leadership talent at all levels
  • A natural and respected leader with entrepreneurial flair, conviction and attention to detail
